My sitter backed out last minute on my 4 month old pup. I was a mess, trying to figure out how to take my highschool kids to college visits and ensure the pup was safe and cared for in our absence. I was beyond grateful to Chris and her staff for making it a painless process and taking her last minute on April break! She was super excited to see us and clearly had much needed play time!!

We love the Crate Escape! Our shy and reserved puppy has come a long way in coming out of her shell, and going to the Crate Escape is her favorite part of her week now. I especially love the little report the staff gives me when I come to pick her up at the end of the day when she's there. Other puppies are her favorite thing, and she loves coming here to play with all her friends.

When we ask my 3 year old dog, Stix, if he â€œwants to go see his friendsâ€ his tail wags super fast, he jumps with excitement and he cannot get into the car fast enough. When we get there he leads the way and knows right where to go. For me, this says it all! We started bringing him as a puppy, once a week, and have continued as much as we can through the pandemic even though we work from home now. The staff is amazing, knows him by name, and he is well taken care of. I do not worry at all when he is there - they are great! The value for us is the socialization, energy he gets to burn, and fun he has. We also utilized at home training and training at the facility. We learned so much and our dog enjoyed himself too. They have holiday themed events we can choose to participate in such as bringing and exchanging doggy Valentines and holiday photos. I canâ€™t give The Crate Escape enough stars!! Highly recommend!!

Our puppy spent the day today at The Crate Escape for doggie daycare. The staff is so kind. They integrated our pup with a few dogs at a time instead of putting her with all the dogs at once which was great! The staff has excellent communication and is very pleasant. My 3 dogs love to go to Crate Escape, they get so excited everytime they walk in the door!! I wouldnâ€™t send my dogs anywhere else they get to play all day with other dogs while being supervised and then they get to snuggle together in their crate at night! The staff is friendly, dog loving care takers! I recommend great escape to every one I know that has a dog Iâ€™m happy I found such a great place to bring my dogs when I am out of town!

Havenâ€™t boarded my dog here but they have a nice self-service grooming station where you pay $17(ish?) to wash and dry your dog. The dogs in boarding seems happy and well looked after, and the staff are great!

My mother-in-law has a fluffy golden/Shepard mix. Crate Escape gave her a bath and brushed her coat. She looked like a new dog and smelt so good after. Iâ€™m so happy we found them! 10/10 would recommend.

Our family has 3 dogs and they all love The Crate Escape! As soon as they see their leash come out in the morning, they know what it means and they can't wait to go to doggie daycare!! The staff is incredible! They are very caring, friendly, and they take the time to get to know each dog. I love that I can use an app on my phone and see live video of the dogs playing throughout the day. We've also used The Crate Escape for boarding many times and are extremely happy with that service as well!!

Emma LOVES the Crate Escape and so do I. She goes 3 days a week and gets super excited on daycare days. The staff is so friendly and positive. They clearly care about Emma, and she loves them too. I have been using Crate Escape for the last 2 years for both boarding and day care. The staff are the best, taking great care of the dogs and getting to know them and the owners. I love the facility and have never had a single issue. They really look after the dogs and when my puppy started shying away from the big dogs, they moved her in with the small breeds. I truly trust Chris and her staff and would give them 6 stars if I could.

We love crate escape. Both our dogs have attended and were always well taken care. Our Bulldog out grew daycare and had an issue and was asked to not come back. However Chris and her staff did a wonderful job in handling the situation and we totally agree that the safety of other dogs and staff must always come first. Our second dog Albert loves Crate Escape. He always comes home tired and happy from a great day of play. Throughout the day I am able to watch the webcam and see what he is up to. They lovingly cared for a colleagues puppy for many many years when we were traveling a lot and he needed their daycare and overnights. . Although I live several a towns away, we started bringing our 10 year old shepherd there periodically to use their wash stations. Itâ€™s spotless, doesnâ€™t smell, they provide clean towels and smocks and the staff are wonderful young people who love what they do. I love those guys.

Love the crate escape!!! The staff is always so friendly and willing to accommodate. Every time I drop my pup off he is running straight to the back with the other dogs. my husky has been going to crate escape since she was like 6 months old and she is now over a year old. This was the best decision to help her keep moving and let out that husky energy. They are so good with her and she has never come out upset once!! I do not have any intentions of going elsewhere for daycare/boarding or training. The hours are convenient, the staff is always friendly, and my pup always comes home exhausted! Being able to check in on her while sheâ€™s there through the video camera is a huge plus! The holding pens by the door are generally used when weâ€™re expecting someone during a certain timeframe or close to closing to make pickup more efficient. Iâ€™ll look into why Riley was put there earlier. They are latched and a safe place to hold dogs. As for the feeding chart, that should have gone home with you so I apologize.

The Crate Escape provides an amazing experience! I have taken Kinzie (a golden retriever) consistently since she was 8 months old. The socialization and training they provide has been wonderful. I attribute Kinzieâ€™s good behavior and comfort level around all other dogs to the Crate Escape experience. The owner Chris and all her staff really understand and love the dogs as if they were their own. We can watch the webcam throughout the day and see the love and attention all the dogs receive. We frequently take advantage of the training services and the grooming services which are top notch. There is no better daycare experience in my opinion!!

Sarah at the front desk was super informative, and pleasant to speak with. She was very helpful from the minute I placed the appointment over the phone, to when I dropped my dog off. Her haircut looks amazing! Her little bow was a perfect addition! Highly recommend, they took care of my girl, and she looks amazing. 10/10 would recommend to a friend or family member. My Husky Denali, has been going to the Crate Escape for over a month now and has had an overnight while I was away. Everyone is extremely friendly and I know that he is treated right based off of his extreme excitement the second we leave the house in the morning. I have brought my little guy here regularly for nearly three years, The employees are very cognizant of each dog's personality and will structure your dog's day around the different needs. The facility is clean and well run, the hours of operation are perfect. There are stricter parameters in the summer for attendance due to the volume of dogs that are attending day care and boarding but this is to be expected. There is only one drawback- there are no better people than people that love dogs which makes it very difficult to leave in the mornings to go to work. Bravo Chris and your wonderful staff!

We have used The Crate Escape twice for boarding (and once for self-bath service), and haven't been disappointed. Very clean facility. They are very sensitive to Sunshine's needs and take time to make sure she feels comfortable, even all of the other demands of the other clients. Sunshine is a rescue who responds well to positive reinforcement and TCE knows how to give this out in spades! Highly recommend and will be using in the future.

Friendly staff, large space for different size dogs to play (both indoor and outdoor). We only used it for boarding once. A bit pricey but a convenient solution in Wallingford. They can also give your dog a bath while they are at daycare, or you can use the washing station to wash it yourself.

My puppup absolutely adores The Crate Escape! She knows the route by heart and starts crying louder the closer we are- as soon as she walks in- sheâ€™s home!! Shane gets groomed there, she attends daycare, canine college and itâ€™s her â€œspa vacationâ€ when her mom leaves town! I love that I can see her from the app when Iâ€™m out of town! My dogs are my kids. I have trouble trusting anyone with their safety. Since I sometimes work long hours, I have had to relent and send my dog to daycare on occasion. He loves going to Crate Escape so much that I now send him on random days just for him to play with his pals. He knows when we turn onto their road that he is going to daycare and bounces around the car, he jumps out of the car and happily runs to the door when we get there. That is my first indication that my dog is happy and safe there. He is extremely sensitive and if this was not a good place, he would be fearful. The staff is great, the owner is there every time I have been and I can watch my dog on webcam.

I tried a few doggie daycares in the area before finding this one. My dog loves it! I like that the small dog area is a large space with access to the outside, and a webcam so I can check on my dog. Itâ€™s also not overcrowded, and reasonably priced. Itâ€™s also great that they offer grooming services (like nail trimming) and special occasional/seasonal services like non-anesthetic dentistry and doggy ice cream in the summer. I highly recommend it!

Very happy with this facility. We use day care, grooming and boarding. It came highly recommended as we are new to the area. Our dog seems to be happy when wet drop off and sleeps VERY WELL every night at home. They are extremely clean. When I pick up isee them sanitizing the floors of the play area. I also like that they have a dog self wash. I recommend this business highly and you will love the staff!

I take my Bernese Mountain Dog here for grooming only about every 1-2 months for a bath and tidy. Every time he leaves he looks like a show dog! Fur is trimmed up around the scraggly areas (especially around his paws which is so appreciated) and his coat is so soft and feels lighter. The quality out shines any other grooming he's ever had at a retail place and I never worry about him over heating considering the owner has a Berner herself and understands their needs. Our Max always leaves happy and beautiful! Oh, and the stinking cute bandanas don't hurt either!

I love this place almost as much as my lab does! He pulls me across the parking lot and through the doors every time he comes. He whines as soon as we pull down the road. Itâ€™s great to be able to watch him throughout the day with the app. He comes home happy and exhausted from playing with all his friends!! My wife and I have had many great experiences at The Crate Escape. My dog doesn't have much interaction with other dogs and he loves going here. If people feel angst about leaving their dog overnight they have the ability of watching them on a web cam to see how they are doing. With anything there will be people who have bad experiences and are quick to lay blame on anyone but themselves or even things that happen that are out of anyones control. I think they have the best in mind for our Dogs and are trained well for the job. I think you will get the same quality service from anywhere you go. The place is very sanitary. They will show you through the place the first time and any other time you request. They want to make you feel as secure as possibe and I know this through many experinces with their daycare and overnight services. Thank you for all you have done for our dog "By-Tor." We will see you again soon.

But it gets better- Since my being hospitalized, owner Chris set up a surprise FaceTime call for me with Luke which quite literally brought a lot of emotion and happy tears. Both of my dogs make this their second home when my husband and I travel for business and pleasure. We have used other unnamed doggie playgrounds and were dissatisfied with how our dogs came home to us. When they are at the Crate Escape we know they are happy, healthy and treated like family :-) Our golden, Dunkin, also goes to the doggy day care program 2 days a week and has made so many wonderful friends. He loves it so much at the Crate Escape that he pulls me through the parking lot to get in to see Chris and his doggy pals! The activities they do with the dogs--including blowing bubbles for them in the warmer months--keep Dunkin stimulated all day so when he comes home at night he is a tuckered out pup and such a pleasure to be around. Not easy to do for a 2 year old Golden retriever! I wouldnt send my dogs anywhere else in the Wallingford area!

Great experience, our dogs loved it, we could watch them on a Webcam. When one if our dogs got sick while there (Lyme disease contracted before arriving) they called us and took him to a vet, he had medication and was on his way to recovery when we got home. Thanks!

After reading the reviews I was not sure if this was the right place after having a "Doggie" interview and having a tour of this establishment they reassure me that she will just do just fine it helped me as a nervous dad that they had cameras throughout the facility so I can look to see everything after all this they even told me about the doggy app where I can watch my dog play with other dogs live it was a small fee of $2 for one month however for $5 you can do it for the whole year this place was amazing they treated my Dog like if she was one of there own the staff was also amazing on treating me like if I was part of the family I highly recommend this place for your doggie over nights as well as if you just dropping your dog for the day the hours to drop off and pick up time where every wide range to fit anybody schedule I was so amazed how things turn out I already book for the end of October 2019
